Skanska has entered into a collaboration agreement with Swedish Nuclear Fuel and Waste Management Co (SKB) for the expansion of the existing final repository for short-lived radioactive waste (SFR) in Forsmark.
The project involves an expansion of the storage space and is expected to be completed by 2030. The expansion of SFR is unique and complex in many ways as it requires collaboration from many different technical competencies. By working together, clients and contractors can find the specific solutions that are best suited for the project. Teamwork and willingness to collaborate are key to success.
